Description

FLIRT (FRONT TRANSFEM) is a mutual aid and peer-support organisation for trans women, transfeminine people, and people questioning their gender identity. We primarily support those facing the greatest levels of precarity, including migrants and refugees, people experiencing homelessness, sex workers, people who use drugs, and people with disabilities. Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic as a community fundraising initiative, the organisation now provides community-based support services, individual assistance, health mediation, training programmes, and cultural activities. Our Instant-T drop-in sessions, held several times a month at La Bulle community centre, offer a space for social connection, information sharing, and referrals to appropriate services and resources. FLIRT also conducts research, develops educational resources, and delivers training for professionals and community organisations. Through its activities, the organisation works to improve the living conditions, health, and access to rights of trans people in France and beyond.
